Target 13000 Crore for Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh government is yet to pay 13,000 crores towards farmer loan waiver, which is more than 50 percent of the amount announced by the government. The state government has promised to waive the loans up to 1.5 lakh on the basis of the scale of finance in five equal installments.

Two Installments were cleared until now and the third installment is expected to be released in this month. The government had already cleared loans of those having 50000 which were waived with the one-time settlement. Clearing these three installments ahead of 2019 will be an uphill task to the government.

But it is very important for the prospects of TDP in the next elections. Around 25.54 lakh farmers’ accounts have received a one-time settlement. The government wants to waive of the remaining two installments in one go.
