TDP bids on Andaman elections to upgrade to National Party

Telugu Desam Party is taking the ongoing Local body election in Andaman and Nicobar islands very seriously. These elections assume significance in the wake of TDP bidding to become national party.

The islands have good number of Telugu population and TDP had put its candidates and is also sending some popular leaders to campaign in those elections. BJP and Congress are the prime contenders there.

Even though, BJP and TDP are alliance partners here, both the parties put up candidates there. Previously TDP won few seats in the local body elections there. If it manages to repeat the feat once again, it will act as a morale booster.
