TDP conveniently wins both the MLC seats!

Ruling Telugu Desam Party managed to win both the MLC seats in Prakasam and Kurnool conveniently. Prakasam TDP candidate Magunta Sreenivasula Reddy won comfortably with 711 votes majority with Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy won the tough Kurnool seat with more than 100 votes majority.

We already know that all the remaining eight seats were unanimously decided. Predicting a loss, YSR Congress boycotted Prakasam elections just before the polling. However seeing the 711 votes majority to TDP candidate, we can conclude that good number of YSRCP votes have gone to TDP.

On the other side there are rumours that Magunta may even get a ministry in the next cabinet expansion. TG Venkatesh and Erasu Pratap Reddy who joined TDP in the last elections from Congress said to have worked against the ruling party in Kurnool but TDP candidate sailed comfortable at the end. This will be a very disappointing result for the opposition party.
