TDP merged in to TRS Officially!

In a very interesting turn of events, Telangana Council Chairman Swamy Goud agreed for the merger of Telugu Desam Party in to Telangana Rashtra Samiti. Three MLCs of Telugu Desam Party – Balasani Lakshmi Narayana, Venkateswarulu, Gangadhar Goud appealed to the Chairman that TDP belongs to them and they are going to merge it with TRS.

They say there is a rule that if majority members of a party agree on common terms, they can claim the ownership of a party and they can do whatever they want with it. Swamy Goud agreed to recognize their ownership and later the MLAs merged it in to TRS becoming the MLCs of Ruling party.

This move left TDP with only two MLCs – Arikela Narsireddy and Potla. This action of Swamy Goud is only an indication of how rules can be bent in any ways to suit the whims and fancies of the ruling party. TDP is planning to move to high court against this move.
