TDP Supporting Newspapers Sales Rise Ahead of Election Year

Election Fever is already gripping Telangana due to Early Dissolution of the State Assembly and Andhra Pradesh is also staring at the elections in less than Six Months. The latest from the Election Commission sources is that the Election Notification in Andhra Pradesh will come in February. Ahead of the elections, it is always important to see the media influencing the electorate.

Eenadu, Sakshi, and Andhrajyothy are the highest circulated Newspapers in Telugu. Eenadu and Andhrajyothy are tilted towards the Telugu Desam Party and Sakshi is totally inclined towards the Opposition, YSR Congress Party. Usually, Political Experts correlate the mood of the people with the official circulation figures of these Newspaper.

The Average Qualifying Sales of the Newspapers of January to June 2018 of Eenadu and Sakshi have slightly decreased when compared to the Average Qualifying Sales of the Newspapers of July to December 2017. At the same time, the sales of Andhrajyothy have improved drastically during the same period.

This data reveals that the media supporting the Telugu Desam Party is more into the people ahead of the election year. On the other side, Sakshi has started delivering Free Copies of the Newspaper to houses and small business entities where people gather in huge numbers so as to influence the voters ahead of the elections.
