TDP (TS) withdraws for Palair by-election

TDP (TS) had decided not to contest in Palair by-election as a mark of respect for Ramreddy Venkatreddy who breathed his last and as a result, the by-election became imminent. Congress requested TDP’s support in the election but since TDP in alliance with BJP at the center, there is only no contest from TDP but no support.

Telugu Desam Party never won from Palair till now. Contest and defeat will further demoralize the already demoralized cadre and so they have taken a conscious decision to withdraw. Local cadre however wanted a contest and supported Nama Nageshwar Rao against TRS candidate, Tummala Nageshwar Rao.

Congress already announced Ramreddy Venkatreddy’s wife Sucharita as their candidate. The polling for Palair election will take place on May 16th. YSR Congress already extended its support to Congress candidate here while CPM refused and is gearing up to put up a candidate here. Lets see if TRS juggernaut can be stopped here!
