A woman who had earlier worked in Q News as a reporter stated that Mallanna had telecast videos of her pictures showing her in a bad light, during a show on Sunday. The woman complained to the cybercrime police saying that her pictures were used without permission in an attempt to defame Chiluka Praveen, also a former employee of Q News.

What has started as a feud between the team members led to a political issue and opportunity for the TRS. This entire episode has come as an opportunity for the government to arrest Mallanna and also dent his credibility in the people. Mallanna’s supporters are alleging that Praveen and the woman are planted by TRS to defame their leader.

Meanwhile, BJP has come to the defense of Mallanna condemning his arrest. But then, they are doing more damage to Mallanna than help because it will showcase him as an Opposition agent.
