Telangana to burden people with powercut!

Coming this February 21st, The horrible 4 Hour power cuts will come back haunting Telangana people. As the cold slowly wanes, the power consumption is slowly increasing in the crisis ridden state and there gap is widening between demand and supply.

Officials are mulling a 4 hour Power cut in two sessions of two hours each. The morning peak hour cut between 6.30 am and 9 am and the second one sometime during the day, before 6 pm is likely so as to check the power consumption. While the officials say 4 hours, it will be only guaranteed for Hyderabad and other cities of Telangana. Villages and towns are likely to have power cuts for 2-3 hours longer depending on the power shortage.

Telangana state is too dependent on hydel power for its consumption which will not come to state’s rescue in summer. Even though the government is ready to purchase power from outside, the lack of transmission lines is hindering its plans.
