Telangana Objects to Polavaram Designs

Telangana seems to have an objection to the design of Polavaram project. Reports say that the government proposed that the design needs a relook as it may cause flooding of quite a few villages, Badrachalam temple and a part of the city.

The proposal was to redesign the project in such a way that it consumes a little less land thereby causing minimal damage to the city. This proposal was submitted to Green Tribunal.

Telangana government also have produced their views on the same to a non-profit institution named Rela. It was also requested that center needs to perform the survey again and take the count of the area that would be consumed by the project.
