Telangana Agriculture Minister’s Insensitive Comments on Dead Farmer

Power can often make you blind. It will blind you so much that you will even lack basic sensitivity. A farmer in Siddipet lost his life in a queue waiting for his turn to get Urea. There is a severe dearth in Urea across the state. Telangana Government is indulging in a blame game on the Central Government on the crisis.

Telangana Agriculture Minister, Niranjan Reddy went a step further and made an even insensitive comment. ” if anything happens to someone who is standing in a film ticket queue, will anyone blame the theatre? Death of farmer was an accident and not related to shortage”

The Minister is comparing a farmer who is trying to ensure his both ends meet to someone who goes to a cinema theater for pleasure. Moreover, standing in queue for a Cinema Ticket is a personal choice but here the farmers are forced to do that due to the incompetence of the Governments.

Its high time those in power spare at least those dead from their insensitive comments.
