BRS leaders protest in black clothes at Telangana Assembly

Telangana Assembly sessions are rarely short of political drama, but today’s developments have taken the rivalry between the BRS and Congress to another level.

BRS public representatives led by KTR, Harish Rao and others arrived at the Assembly wearing black clothes. They said this was a mark of protest against the Congress government, which has completed 1,000 days in office.

The BRS leaders repeatedly alleged that the Congress government had failed the people of Telangana. They described their black attire as a symbolic protest against the government’s performance.

The protest soon created a security situation at the Assembly. Marshals reportedly stopped the BRS representatives from entering the premises while wearing black clothes.

This led to a confrontation between BRS leaders and the security personnel stationed at the Assembly. The situation escalated further as several leaders were reportedly involved in pushing and pulling.

Among those involved were KTR, Harish Rao, Sabita Indra Reddy, Sunita Lakshmi Reddy and others. The incidents quickly became a major talking point in Telangana political circles.

The BRS then amplified the issue by taking the affected leaders to its party headquarters, Telangana Bhawan. They were reportedly provided treatment there, creating an impression that BRS leaders had been attacked at the Telangana Assembly.

As a result, intense rivalry unfolded at the Telangana Assembly today. However, it remains unclear whether the action was directly warranted by CM Revanth or whether the situation escalated involuntarily due to the security arrangements.
