Social Media Offenders To Face Stringent Action

The Telangana government has decided to strengthen law and order in the state. It will now take strict action against social media offenders and people involved in online financial fraud.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police issued orders to all SIs and inspectors under the cybercrime department. He directed strict action against repeat offenders in social media crimes and financial fraud. To stop them from repeating offences, cases will be booked under Section 111 of Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita. Suspect, rowdy, and history sheets will also be opened against the culprits, he added.

Cyber police have been instructed to monitor offenders closely and prevent further crimes. With constant surveillance and preemptive measures, law and order can be effectively maintained, according to cyber officials.

In recent months, many cases of online financial fraud and blackmailing have surfaced across the state. Citizens of Telangana are welcoming this move by the government.
