Telangana Cuts Power to AP MLA Quarters

While Telangana Genco has defaulted payment of 4300 Crore for AP Genco, Telangana Power Discoms have disconnected the power supply to AP MLA quarters in the city. AP government had to pay upto Rs 16 lakh to Telangana power discom.

After several reminders, the discoms have disconnected the power supply to the MLA quarters. On Monday, one AP MLA residing at the quarter complained about it to the AP Assembly affairs authorities. They have released the funds immediately and the power is restored.

On the other side, Telangana government is still mum on clearing the dues of pending bills to Andhra Pradesh. They are not bothered about a possible stopping of power from AP since Telangana is likely to get power from Chhattisgarh very soon.
