Telangana do not need Naidu?

Telangana TDP’s pathetic run continued in the GHMC elections too. This time the results are even hard hitting as the votebanks of the party too let it go. TRS leaders have increased the campaign that Naidu and TDP is not needed further in the state. Probably a ploy to completely demoralize the already deject leaders and cadre.

But is it true? Definitely TDP is in a bad shape and there is an urgent need to address the leadership issues. However the major problem is that the less than 2 years time after 2014 elections is too little time to garner any anti incumbency on TRS which is a party riding on high sentiment.

Difficulties for any Opposition party is quite common. TRS itself faced that than any other party. Late YSR almost threatened to finish off the party. TRS suffered defections and did not even contest 2009 GHMC elections due to the fear of humiliating defeat. Congress which won more than 400 seats during Rajiv Gandhi time, is now a 40 odd seat party. BJP which started with 2 seats now won more than 300 seats. So, in politics such difficulties are passing clouds provided the self belief and striving for the people exists.
