T Elections: Stage Set for Counting!

The entire country is waiting with bated breaths for what is being touted as semi-finals before the 2019 General Elections. The Telangana Assembly Elections saw the good and the bad and was mired with many sensations. The state that voted will know its new government in a few hours from now.

The counting is set to begin from 8 am tomorrow. Telangana state machinery has made all arrangements for the same. In the 31 districts and 44 centres, counting will begin for the 119 constituencies. Postal ballot votes and armed forces votes will be first to be counted. Staff taking part in counting got training and rehearsals already and media centres were linked to the counting centres. First result will come from Bhadrachalam which had only 161 polling centres. However, it would take some while for Serilingampally’s result. This constituency had 580 polling centres and this might call for several rounds of counting. A trend could be observed here from 15th round.

EC took all measures to see that counting goes smooth and uneventful. Party agents shall be present during counting. In all there will be 2379 rounds of counting and Serilingampally will have the highest of about 42 rounds. Only contestants, EC officials and agents will have permission to counting centres!!
