Telangana finds space crunch in secretariat!

Many say Andhra Pradesh government is left at the mercy of Telangana in Hyderabad for its administration needs, but even the Telangana state is battling the accomodation woes in the secretariat post the bifurcation. The Telangana government had been allotted blocks A, B, C and D at the secretariat, while the J, K, L and H blocks were allotted to the AP government. The general administration department (GAD) of Telangana struggling to allot office space to ministers and other officials in the secretariat due to space crunch.

While each minister is allotted three rooms for his chamber and the chambers of his personal assistant and personal secretary. Most of the ministers have more staff due to handling of multiple ministries. It is said that GAD is currently sitting on at leat a dozen pending requests from the ministers including deputy chief ministers Mohd Mahmood Ali and T Rajaiah and minster K Taraka Rama Rao. Officials say the problems will increase when the allotment of All India Officers is done.
