‘T’ government has only 9 acres in Hyd!

Telangana government had made tall estimations of getting 6000 Crore income by auctioning government lands in Hyderabad. However a detailed on ground survey by the government revealed that there is only 9 acres of land in the city which the government can auction readily. The land is expected to get 350 Crore for the government.

The government also have another 40 acres in the city which is stuck in legal disputes and cannot be sold right away.Government is collecting this data to show the income expected from auctioning lands in its next budget which will be tabled on March 11.

In its last budget, Government proposed 6000 Crore but got nothing as it could not find any thing that it could auction immediately. With not many hopes on land auctions, government has now focused on auctioning government buildings. The Hyderabad collectorate identified prime properties and submitted a list to the government.
