T’s ‘Regularization’ bait ahead of GHMC polls!

Finally Telangana government has announced the guidelines for regularizing illegal constructions in the city. The government slashing the buildings constructed illegally on gurukul trust lands became a big issue in the early days and ahead of GHMC polls, government wants to regularize these constructions and win people’s mandate.

Regularization will be free for BPL families who have constructed houses or sheds in an area below 125 square yards.For registration of house plots up to 250 square yards payment of 50 per cent of the registration value is required. House Plots up to 500 square yards will have to pay 75 per cent of registration value and House plots 500 square yards and above will pay 100 per cent of the registration value.

This regularization is applicable only for those who are in possession of lands and have constructions in those on or before June 2nd, 2014. Illegally occupied lands with out any constructions will be taken over by the government and if this land is present in bits, they will be auctioned. The chance of regularization will be up to 20 days after the notification and the process will be completed in 90 days.
