Telangana Parties Banking on Women Power

The Opposition Parties in Telangana seem to be banking on women’s power. DK Aruna who joined BJP is playing a crucial role in the Saffron Party. Vijaya Shanthi who recently joined the party is likely to take the center stage in the upcoming Bus Yatra of the party.

Congress is also thinking on the lines to utilize the services of former minister Konda Surekha. She may be appointed the Working President of the party. She hails from the BC community and was a minister in the past. She is known to be an aggressive leader and so, the party is keen on using her services.

On the other side, there are rumors that KCR may take his daughter, Kavitha into the cabinet and make her active in state politics. Kavitha is known to be a good orator. After losing the Parliament election, she became inactive and was recently made MLC.

It looks like all the parties in Telangana are after women all of sudden. This has come at the time when the politics in the state are drastically changing and the ruling TRS party facing severe anti-incumbency.
