Telangana Power Discoms on the verge of collapse!

Telangana government on one side is boasting of eradicating Power cuts in the state but the government had pushed the Power discoms in to serious troubles. Power discoms have resorted to aggressive Power Purchases to reign the power cuts.

As a result, discoms have 2000 Crore arrears which are pending from the last three months. Every day, the discoms are purchasing 6000MW Power but the government is not clearing the arrears making them debt ridden.

On the other side, Telangana own production of Power suffered very much. Due to the drought conditions, Hydro Power which is considered cheapest is totally stopped. If the government do not come to the rescue, Power supply by companies will also get stopped.
