‘T’ sets a record with highest farmers deaths in a day!

Telangana state had bagged one very shameful record in terms of farmers deaths. On Sunday alone, the state had witnessed 13 farmers dying in five districts of the newest state. This comes hours after the state government hiking the ex gratia in suicide cases from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.

Warangal district alone witnessed four farmers dying on Sunday. One of the four died of cardiac arrests while the others committed suicides due to debts and crop failures. The ruling party is very much worried as Warangal Parliament position is going for a by-election very soon.

The state government is also struggling to defend itself in this issue and is trying to under-report the suicide cases to save the face. The state government had appealed to the asked distressed farmers to approach the district administrations for help and promised that the government would take care of all farmers.
