TS Polls: 42L Settlers Are Key In Hyderabad

Telangana elections fever is well and truly catching up and the stage is being prepared for the polling on the 30th of November. The build up for the counting on 3rd December couldn’t have been higher.

Now, coming to the topic, of the 29 constituencies in Hyderabad, the most important segment in all of Telangana, a staggering 42 lakh settler voters could be the deciding factor.

Serilingampally, Kukatpally, Qutbullapur, Jubilee Hills, Sanath Nagar, and other areas are highly populated by the AP settlers. BRS, BJP, and Congress are trying to lure them with a targeted approach.

There is a substantial Tamil population in Jubilee Hills. So, the BJP high command deployed Tamil leader Nirmala Seetharaman here to attract the Tamil voters. She held a public meeting the other day.

LB Nagar is largely populated by people from other parts of Telangana, and also other parts of the country. BRS and Congress have deployed Sudheer Reddy and Madhu Yashki respectively for their election campaigns.

All in all, the leading parties are now working on attracting the settlers vote bank which is a significant portion of the total voter base in Hyderabad.
