TS Polls: Road Roller, Chapati Stick Scaring BRS

Telangana will be going to polls on the 30th of November with the results to be announced on the 3rd of December. Meanwhile, BRS leaders are caught up with a new tension regarding election symbols.

BRS troops are concerned about the election symbols of small-time parties and independents. They opine that the chapati stick and road roller symbols that are available to be picked in the election are very similar to the car symbol of BRS.

The argument from BRS is that these election symbols in Telangana are very similar to their car symbol. They even approached the EC about the same but the commission didn’t encourage their advancements. BRS even moved the Supreme Court on the same but to no avail.

The independent candidates in LB Nagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Serilingampally, and Kalvakurthi were allocated the road roller symbol. In the same constituencies, the Alliance of Democratic Reforms party got chapati stick symbol.

BRS is arguing that these symbols which are similar to the symbol of car can confuse the voters and lead to a few untoward votes getting polled to candidates that have a symbol resembling car.
