TS Polls: Tea, Biryani, Bikes Demand Skyrocket

The Telangana elections are hitting the penultimate phase with a little over two weeks to go for the polls on 30 November. BJP, BRS, and Congress have largely amped up their election campaign already.

Coming to the topic, small-scale and medium-range sellers and vendors are seeing an increase in demand for tea, biryani, bikes and car rentals, function halls, and music band sets.

With local leaderships and MLA candidates holding public meetings across the state, they are offering tea and biryani for the public who come to the meetings. As a result, hotels and tea stalls are making merry with the flourishing business, it seems.

Bikes and car rentals are overflowing with politicians hiring these vehicles to transport the public to their events. They are even hiring RTC buses, say reports. The rental services have spiked their prices as well, in view of increased demand but politicians are still ready to meet the price demands.

There is an increased demand for function halls and band sets as MLA candidates are hiring the same for their small meetings. This, paired with the marriage season now have resulted in a sharp spike in demand for both the parties, say reports.

Apart from these, there is a big demand for flowers, it seems. Pink, orange, and white flowers are particularly seeing a spike in sales, say reports. That is understandable, given the color schemes of BRS, BJP, and Congress respectively.
