Telangana to Get a New Governor?

Reports are emerging that Telangana will have a new governor very soon. Buzz is that BJP government at the center is considering Karnataka Vidhana Parishad Speaker and the party’s Senior Leader, DH Shankara Murthy for this position. Union Home Minister Rajnadh Singh and BJP President Amit Shah reportedly discussed this last week.

If everything goes as per the plan, the appointment orders are likely to be out in 2-3 days. ESL Narasimhan is the governor of both the Telugu States after the Erst While Andhra Pradesh is bifurcated. Narasimhan was appointed during UPA regime.

It is surprising that BJP continued him even after making several changes in various states. Narasimhan was continued mainly because he is very familiar to Telugu politics and the issues. But then the change has become inevitable finally.
