Tension in capital villages as deadline nears!

The deadline for the Land Pooling in the capital villages of Andhra Pradesh is just five days away. The farmers who are reluctant to part their lands till now are very much worried about their future course. Government has given no indication of increasing the compensation.

The state government also indicated to the high court that there can not be an extension of the deadline. All these indications suggest that land acquisition in the remaining lands is inevitable. Some of the farmers are hurrying up in the last minute to give the agreement letters.

On the other side, the high court refused to issue interim orders on the land pooling process. However the court asked the government not to interfere in the agricultural works till the next hearing. The case is posted for three weeks later. So far 23800 acres were pooled in by the government.
