TG Govt Gives Clarity Over Rythu Bharosa Rumours

The Telangana government has clarified that rumours claiming rythu bharosa has been stopped are false. Officials stated that such claims are baseless. The Telangana government fact check department shared a detailed clarification through a post on X.

Nearly 65 lakh farmers are beneficiaries under the rythu bharosa scheme. The government has not stalled or discontinued the programme. Officials are currently conducting ground verification to ensure benefits reach genuine beneficiaries across districts.

At the same time, the finance department is rechecking the existing beneficiary list. Authorities said misleading rumours about rythu bharosa are creating confusion among farmers. The post urged beneficiaries not to believe unverified claims circulating online.

Satellite mapping of agricultural land is being carried out by Kottapalli Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University using German technology. Ground surveys indicate that around 4 lakh acres are under commercial use, making those landholders ineligible for rythu bharosa.

The mapping exercise aims to match satellite data with field records. Once the process is completed, beneficiaries found ineligible based on official records will be removed from the scheme list.

Farmers with doubts after removal can approach the district collector or district-level revenue officers. Last year, the Revanth Reddy government completed the rythu bharosa programme in nine days instead of ninety. The Chief Minister directed that genuine beneficiaries must not miss out on support.
