Ex Minister Talsani Srinivasa Yadav‘s OSD Kalyan’s house has been raided by ED. The ACB has found that Rs 700 crore scam happened in distribution of sheep scheme during KCR’s term.
The raids started in the morning. ED officials took Kalyan into custody. Vital documents regarding the scam and money was seized from Kalyan’s house. ED questioned Kalyan for 7 hours at a stretch.
ED raided six places on Wednesday regarding the scam. Initially, ACB filed a case regarding the matter. Following that, ED filed another case and took up inquiry.
In 2015, the then government started the sheep distribution scheme. According to documents, it is said that thousands of beneficiaries were given sheep with a cost of Rs 4000 crore. However, the ACB found that the officers and middlemen conspired and took home the monies.
The ACB found that money was diverted to benami accounts and funds were divided among all those involved. ACB and ED doubt the involvement of some biggies in the scam.
