The Fourth MLA Deserts Telugu Desam and Joins Ysr Congress

Telugu Desam Party Visakhapatnam South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today in Amaravati. Earlier yellow party MLAs Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Karanam Balaram and Maddali Giri dump cycle and extended support to the ruling party

As in a new practice by YSR Congress evade disqualification for the defectors, Vasupalli did not wear the YSR Congress Kanduva but his sons did. However, speaking to the media after the meeting, he went on to say he joined YSR Congress to ensure the welfare schemes to continue for SCs and STs.

Like the case of the previous TDP MLAs, Vasupalli will ask the Speaker to consider himself an independent and support the Ruling Party from Outside. He will be technically a TDP MLA to avoid the possibility of facing a By-election. Chandrababu Naidu’s party won 23 seats in 2019 and 4 MLAs already left him.

YSR Congress which gave long sermons regarding the defections while in the Opposition is encouraging the same while it is in Power.
