These farmers earn in Crores!

We have seen lot many stories of farmers being poor and debt ridden. We have seen stories of farmers committing suicides too because of failed crops and debts. But there are farmers who are earning crores from farming. Here we see India’s richest farmers and they are all politicians.

Arriving these figures from the data submitted in the election affidavits during the elections, Four Telugu politicians – P Balaram (Telangana, Congress), Galla Aruna Kumari (AP, TDP), P.Ramachandra Reddy (AP, YSR Congress), Payyavula Keshav (AP, TDP) have found place in this list.

All these politicians have earned to the tune of several crores and declared that agriculture is their source of income. So you can conclude whether they are richest farmers or they are lying in their affidavits. Interestingly, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who claimed to have earned 2 Crore per acre did not figure in the list for the simple reason, he did not reveal the figures accordingly in his affidavit.
