This Is The Real Problem for BJP in AP

The recent Tirupati by-election has once again shown the mirror to BJP in Andhra Pradesh. The party has lost its deposit. The party leaders who normally make tall claims before the media totally disappeared after the results.

The party has been showing examples of Telangana BJP’s electoral success in Dubbaka and GHMC and claiming a similar resurgence in AP as well. But then, Telangana BJP’s graph is also coming down. BJP in Telangana lost the MLC elections, lost deposit in Nagarjunasagar by-elections, and failed to show any impact in recent Municipal Elections.

“AP BJP is keen on taking the place of TDP without gaining a single anti-YSR Congress. Many leaders in AP BJP talk like they are a B team of YSR Congress and behave as if they are fighting Chandrababu who is in power. They can not make an impact if this attitude continues,” political experts say.

On the other side, Badvel constituency (Kadapa District) will go for a by-election very soon after the sitting YSR Congress MLA passed away recently.
