This Mistake of Naidu Cost TDP (TS) Existence!

Former Khammam MP, Nama Nageswara Rao is almost confirmed to have deserted TDP and is likely to join TRS or Congress very soon. Nama, a close aide of Chandrababu slowly started distancing from the party since the 2014 defeat. Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy who defeated Nama in 2014 and Nama’s rival, Tummala are also in TRS.

Nama was such close to Naidu that the TDP supremo ignored the services of Tummala Nageswara Rao for Nama. Tummala who was with Telugu Desam Party since its start was not comfortable with party high command giving importance to his rival Nama Nageswara Rao.

Tummala and his supporters did not get the tickets of their choice in the general elections. Nama and Tummala conspired against each other and both of them lost and confined TDP to just one seat in the district. TRS successfully wooed Tummala with a Ministerial berth and that sealed TDP’s chances in Khammam.

Losing Khammam means losing almost a big frontier in Telangana for TDP (TS). That mistake of Naidu preferring Nama over Tummala is haunting the party till date. This will be very tough to digest for the Cycle Party which is on a ventilator in the newest state of the country.
