Thullur under Vijayawada Commissionerate!

The midnight violence that erupted in Thullur mandal on Sunday has alerted the government. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu spoke with DGP Ramudu and asked him to work in the direction of bringing Thullur mandal under Vijayawada Police Commissionerate so as to increase the Police vigil on the area.

Along with this, the government is also planning to increase the number of police in this commissionerate and also the increase in vehicles and weapons for them to better the services. There is also a proposal to form Guntur Police Commissionerate and bring Thullur under it. Vijayawada and Guntur Commissionerates will operate as Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates.

With the capital announcement, the VIP and VVIPs floating in to Thullur area has increased. Also the incidents of violence on Sunday is pressing the need of security cover.
