Buzz is that a draft G.O. will be readied today or tomorrow and will be presented to a delegation of the Telugu film industry (headed by Megastar Chiranjeevi) that is likely to meet the Chief Minister on the 10th of this month. Sources say that the Government has agreed to grant ticket prices Rs 150, Rs 100, and Rs 50.
Even these prices are not tenable but are much better than the abnormally low prices, the industry opines. However, the Government is pushing the same prices for the multiplexes as well which the industry is worried about. Shares will not be visible if ticket prices are so low in the Multiplexes.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that AP Government may do away with 50% occupancy and Night Curfew after February 14th. In such a case, it will be a big relief for the industry.
