'Toyama" of Japan, a Sister Province to AP

We have heard Sister Concerned companies for the industries. Now, Andhra Pradesh is all set to give ‘Sister Province’ status to Toyama of Japan. After award of this status, Toyama state will provide strategics to the development of Andhra Pradesh and also participate in some of the projects proposed by the state.

Toyama state selected for this status by considering similar economic structure of the the Andhra Pradesh. Toyama state economy dominated by agriculture, aquaculture and pharma industries like AP. Chandra Babu Naidu during his recent visit to the country discussed with Toyama administration and got encouraging response from the officials. Already, AP finance secretary PV Ramesh left for Japan to finalise MOU documents with Toyama State.

This MOU is expected to be signed in presence of the Prime Minister of both the countries in last week of November or first week of December. It is learnt that some of the industrialists in the Toyama State asked for the details of infrastructure and incentives provided by State Government and even some of them ready to invest.
