Traffic Police Rewarded for Holding the President’s Convoy

Traffic Sub-inspector M.L. Nijalingappa is just any other traffic police of Bengaluru till Saturday, and now half of the Bengaluru noticed and applauded him for what he did to the President’s convoy. He has also been rewarded by the department for his thoughtful act.

Saturday, Pranab Mukherjee’s convoy was moving towards the Metro’s Green Line via HAL road, for the inauguration ceremony done by him and the police have held the traffic to send the convoy safe and sound. While there are just a couple of minutes left for the convoy to cross the HAL junction, Nijalingappa has noticed an ambulance stuck in the traffic, trying to find a way to rush to the hospital.

The Cop reacted immediately and made arrangements for the ambulance get its way and ride away to the hospital. Just a minute after, the President convoy was seen departing. The initiative of Nijalingappa has been appreciated by many on the social media followed by DCP and IPS tweeting his action and about the reward that he got.
