Tragedy Of Telugu Youth: Complete Caste Blindness

Telugu Youth is completely blinded by Caste these days. The on-ground trend is always there but this has penetrated so much that caste references have become very common on social media.

For an instance, Sridhar Vembu, the CEO of Zoho extended his support for Chandrababu Naidu who was arrested the other day.

“I was shocked to read that Shri Chandrababu Naidu-ji was arrested yesterday. I know him and he worked so hard to bring so many companies, including Zoho, to Andhra Pradesh. I hope justice prevails,” he wrote on Twitter.

Scores of people have started bashing Sridhar calling him a Kamma – the same community of Chandrababu Naidu. It is not some stray person but there are many of them. But the fact is that Sridhar is a Tamil Brahmin.

Just imagine the impression a potential investor gets about Andhra Youth and culture.

This is not a one-off incident. Ever since I-PAC started its campaign in Andhra Pradesh. Youth is divided on the lines of Caste. The impact is so much that every topic is connected to caste. The caste abuse particularly on Kamma community has become so easy and frequent.

The entire social media environment has become so toxic with the easy usage of abuses that can not written. It will be very worrisome if they carry this toxic mindset to offline as well and use that in their real life.
