TRS blasts Congress bastion!

The main opposition party in Telangana, Congress suffered a big blow in the Narayankhed by-election results announced today. Narayankhed is a bastion for Congress over the last few decades. Since 1952, Congress won the seat eleven times out of the total 14 elections that happened.

The by-election is necessiated due to the sitting Congress MLA and since his son is contesting, Congress hoped sympathy to work out here. But TRS managed to win the election with a whopping 53625 votes. In fact, Congress candidate could not even manage half of the total votes garnered by TRS candidate.

Congress could not give competition even in any round which means a comprehensive loss for the party in their own backyard. Congress is getting similar results in all the elections from 2014. Besides TRS wave, a lack of proper leadership and direction in Congress is also the reason.
