KCR Completed ground work for by-election?

Earlier this week GHMC had announced that it had completed the pruning of the electoral rolls. Going by the official data released by the corporation, majority of the pruned votes are from settlers majority areas. On the other side, Governor ESL Narasimhan who was silent on the Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s illegal inclusion in the cabinet for more than an year suddenly started making moves on the issue.

There were allegations by the opposition parties that KCR completed the ground work to face the by-election through pruning of the electoral votes and only then Governor made a move on this issue. They say otherwise the usually KCR friendly Governor would not trouble the government ahead of the crucial assembly session.

If the opposition creates ruckus in the assembly, the Chief Minister will get Talasani’s resignation accepted and go to the by-election. Talasani managed to win the last elections with the support of the settlers. When in TDP, he is always known to be a supporter of United Andhra Pradesh. We will have to see how things pan out for him!
