Telangana Finance Minister Eetela Rajendra made some controversial statements in the press in a media interaction program at Hyderabad. The Minister was trying to defend his government’s step to increase the ban on Maoists while before the elections TRS promised to lift the ban. In this issue, Eetela made few controversial remarks “Ban on Maoists is an issue of the Center. We just followed Center’s instructions in this issue”.
He added that Telangana government is a sympathizer of Maoists and is also following Naxallite Agenda.”Maoists are fighting for equal rights for all. Our government also follows Maoist principle ‘Those plowing land will own the land and forming an ideal society with out hunger’. Following this our government has started giving 3 acres to poor families”. Eetela’s statements stirred a big controversy of aiding support to anti social elements.
