News Vs Views – Kavitha’s Strange statement

“Nowadays, when we see any news, we know that it is not news but views. It’s not enough if we buy one newspaper. We need to buy all the newspapers and read all of them to know the truth. That is the fact of life,” said TRS leader Kavitha during the audio launch event of ‘Manalo Okadu’.

Though this might look surprising coming from one of the spokespersons of TRS party which owns a newspaper Namaste Telangana, she is absolutely right. Her statement is valid as no newspaper is an exception to this in the present scenario where the media (whether it is the print media or the visual media) is going through ‘struggle for existence’ phase. Kavita here made it a point ignoring TRS mouthpiece paper Namaste Telangana.

Circulating views of few individuals is portrayed as news in almost all the newspapers and channels. That is indeed bitter truth and we need to accept it. She even discussed how ombudsman is vested in private hands and governments across the world are helpless in exercising their control.
