TRS MLA Sentenced To Six-month Imprisonment

TRS MLA from Khairatabad, Danam Nagender was sentenced to six-month imprisonment by a special court in Hyderabad. Nagender and his driver Raju were found guilty of manhandling a person back in 2013.

Both Nagender and Raju will have to serve six-month jail term and also pay a fine of Rs 1000 each. If they fail to pay the fine, their jail term will be extended by a month.

The case was filed while the seasoned politician was a minister in the cabinet of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh. The judge found them guilty under section 323 of the IPC.

Nagender and Raju will have a month’s time to file for an appeal in regard to the imprisonment sentence.
