KCR Being Too over Confident?

Telangana Rashtra Samiti President and CM KCR had assured all the sitting MLAs of tickets in 2019 elections. The Chief Minister promised them that he will ensure that at least 100 out of the total 119 seats will be bagged by the party.

Political Experts, however, say that it may be a bad move since several sitting MLAs are battling anti-incumbency and are only surviving on TRS Charishma. Retaining such MLAs will only backfire on the party in the long term.

TRS has managed to win 63 seats in 2014 elections. That is when Telangana Sentiment is the highest. Political Experts say that KCR should not be complacent or Over-confident under-estimating the Opposition or the anti-incumbency factor.
