TRS to join NDA in February!

The ruling party of the newest state of the country, Telangana Rashtra Samiti may join NDA very soon. National media is abuzz that TRS leaders are in talks with BJP high command over this issue and they may join NDA government after the Delhi elections. Off late, TRS have softened their very aggressive stand on the Center is an indication for it.

TRS is expecting more funds for Telangana and is also bargaining for two portfolios in Union cabinet including one for KCR’s daughter, Kavitha. However this new relation will further complicate ties between AP and Telangana as the already indecisive Center will turn further rigid to maintain good relations with TDP and TRS.

TRS allying with NDA will also set up interesting stage for the upcoming GHMC elections. It has to be seen how BJP proceeds in the elections. And also it will be a challenge for the ruling TRS party to bag the corporation with out MIM’s help. MIM will normally distance itself from TRS once its allies with the saffron party.
