TRS wins big in Secunderabad Cantonment Elections!

The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti has extended its sway over the Secunderabad Cantonment too. The result of the cantonment elections were out a short while ago. TRS party is the single largest party by winning four wards. TRS Rebel candidates came second with winning two. And finally Congress and Independents bagged one each.

TDP and BJP did not manage to open their account in the total 8 wards of the cantonment. Rebel candidates of TRS are expected to support the party now. This result is major boost for the ruling party ahead of the crucial GHMC elections.

Son and Daughter of Former Central Minister Sarve Satyanarayana, daughter of TDP sitting MLA, Sayanna have lost their election. Usually cantonment elections are not fought on party lines but political parties make them political by taking sides.
