Trump Mulling with Ending Birthright Citizenship Of..

US President Donald Trump has been contemplating next on signing an executive order that could dash the big American Dreams of many, especially Indians. The order would seek to put an end to the birthright citizenship to the kin of non-citizens born in the US. This has been a constitutional right to the US citizenship for the US-born children.

However, this is also unlikely to happen as revoking the birthright citizenship would trigger off a legal battle on whether the President has the ability to make the change to the amendment in the constitution. The 14th Amendment guarantees right for all children born in the US. When Trump was asked about the legality and things he was quoted as saying: They’re saying I can do it just with an executive order. He even remarked that: We’re the only country in the world where a person comes in and has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States.

As of now, White House counsel is reviewing President’s proposal and it is not clear as to how quick or long otherwise it would take for the President to pass the Executive Order!!
