TS decides to go against HC Warnings!

Despite the high court’s warnings on the re-registration of old vehicles with AP codes registered before Telangana formation, the state government is keen on taking it forward but with a simple procedure. The state is likely to issue a notification regarding this very soon and will ask all the old vehicles to acquire TS code in four months.

The government is currently working on a software which will give new TS code to motorist either through Mee Seva or online without visiting RTA offices, waiting in long queues and undergoing unnecessary expenditure for re-registration.

It is unclear regarding what is the future of vehicles bought in districts of Seema Andhra but are being used in Hyderabad. It is said that government may collect road tax from them but may run in to legal tangles as Hyderabad is also the capital of Andhra Pradesh for a period of 10 years. There is an argument that one need pay road tax for plying in his capital.
