TS Govt adds more frills to Emp Health Scheme!

Telangana government is already struggling to implement the Cashless Health Scheme introduced for its employees. Even after a month the scheme is introduced, the implementation did not begin. However Telangana government is trying to add more frills to it and reduce the burden.

Accordingly, the government is planning to make it mandatory for out patients to go to government hospitals first and only then to corporate hospitals if the medical facility is not available in the government hospitals.

Employee associations are angry on the government’s conditions and they say it is an attempt to dilute the scheme. They say the implementation of this rule will lead to troubles and corruption. On the other side, it is already known that the corporate hospitals and the government are at loggerheads about the cost of package offered by the government in this scheme.
