TS govt asks for talks with AP for the first time!

Telangana government has uttered the words like ‘sitting across the table’, ‘talks’ for the first time. Water Resources Minister Harish Rao called on phone to his Andhra Pradesh Counterpart, Devineni Uma and offered to sit for talks over the issue of Telangana Engineers transferred from AP. Last week, AP government has ordered to release 301 Telangana origin Engineers in Water Resources department and sent the transfer orders to Telangana government.

Startled by this move, Harish Rao immediately called Uma on Phone and requested him to put these transfers on hold until they meet for talks and arrive at a mutually agreeable conclusion for this problem. However Uma clarified that they should leave the issue to concern HODs and Chief Secretaries of both the states.

It is said that the Andhra Pradesh government has taken a decision in this regard and it is planning to allow promotions and new recruitment in to these vacant 301 posts. With AP government not heeding to their request, Telangana government is also planning to send AP employees under it.
