With Telangana entering polls in under 72 hours from now, the political parties have started to intensify their game. Interestingly, Congress has taken an unexpected decision in this regard.
Apparently, Congress has started camp politics with regard to Telangana elections as the party anticipates a hung situation in the polls.
Reportedly, Congress is on course to shift the party MLAs to Karnataka on the day of the elections. This is a precautionary measure to keep hold of their MLAs in case the number game tightens and there is a hung situation on December 3rd.
This is to prevent poaching of MLAs from BRS’s KCR which has been the trend in the last two elections.
Congress leadership in Karnataka, where the Congress party is in power has been entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of the Congress MLAs from Telangana. Several resorts have already been booked to accommodate the MLAs it seems.
The MLAs will be safeguarded in Karnataka and once the situation is sorted in Telangana, they will be bought back to Hyderabad, say reports This should surely be a very interesting political development in the context of Telangana politics.
